EDS Takeover Of Mphasis:  COO Moved To Head BPO

By Howard

With the recent takeover of Mphasis by EDS, the original buzz was that EDS won’t interfere with the operations of Mphasis. The reason: latter having greater expertise in BPO’s.  Also, majority of the leadership was going to be the same. Not anymore. EDS has started making significant changes to the organization structure.

The man who seems to have borne the most seems to be ex-Chief Operating Officer Milind Godbole. He was the erstwhile COO of the company and has now been pushed down to Head of BPO operations.

As COO, Mphasis, Milind Godbole, was highly regarded by his peers, and was quoted last year as saying: “By the end of 2006-07, we want around 10% of the company's revenues to come from domestic BPO operations.".  Now, as the Head of BPO Operations, he can give this goal his undivided attention.
